Fighting Lions Dagger

Dagger made of Damascene bronze from Mycenae. It is decorated wit two scenes in its two faces. One side depicts warriors with daggers fighting lions is inlaid in gold, silver, and niello. One warrior is slain undrer a lion who is charging four other men who fight hold shields, daggers and bows while two other lions are fleeting the other way. On the other side of the dagger a scene made of the same technique depicts a lion that has slain an antelope while four other antelopes fleeing. Circa 1600 BCE
